Q:
I've only been driving my Elise for about a month now, and I'm loving it, still in perfect condition, and just hit 1200 Miles.
I noticed a problem today, on the drivers side arm rest which i later discovered is also happening on the passenger side as well.
out from under the armrest plastic, is a foam liner that is coming out from underneath. Is a black foam, with a single side of stickyness. I have no idea why it's coming out, I don't move around on the arm rest enough for it to squish anything out.
Anyone else have this problem?
A:
Yeah, happened to me a long time back. I trimmed it. After a few thousand miles it stopped comming out. I remember a lot of other people talking about it. It's I'm sure.

Search for spooge and splooge.
By-the-way, you are referring to the chassis (or door sill). Calling it an arm rest is just not right.

That's the first thing I thought when I saw "armrest" in the title - "We have armrests???!!!! Where?!?"

:::going to Fox Valley today and demand my armrests:::

You get armrests with the "Lazy-Boy Pack."

If you're driving on roads straight enough to allow you to use your chassis as an armrest, you're taking the wrong roads (or the wrong car) to your destination
I had the same problem, I used a very small screwdriver and carefully pushed it back up under the sill cover. I tried to keep it as flat as possible, but it did wad up just a little bit. So far it has not come out again and when it does I have a solution
