GUT Sport Aero Kit

Interior Exterior

Q:
I like it alot, but how much does it impact vision out the rear? You lose about 30-40%.
A:
Shinoo,
Is the front spoiler available alone? Rough price estimate?
Thanks

The splitter looks effective, but considering how much the rear body work was modified on the Exiges for a gain of less than 50lbs at 100 mph I have to wonder how effective the rear wing is. Is there any information on the amount of downforce this rear wing will generate on an Elise? Seems like this may be a low pressure area or dirty air at best.
A:

Neal,
Now that I've ordered the wing and splitter, how much for the A048's in the background? (of the last pic)

Thanks Yes, it will be available alone. $650-750...depending on how much the shipping costs come in at.

Serious question here and I dont mean to offend. Has there been any other cars that has had these aftermarket front spoilers rip of the bottom of the clam. I do remember this happening to one person at the track. Evidently this was caused by aerodynamic stress on the mounting points.

Is there any information on the amount of downforce this rear wing will generate on an Elise? We don't have any hardnumbers. GUT Sport had it tested on Fuji Speedway by a professional driver with positive results. A lesser qualified driver recently drove it at Willow Springs and was duly impressed with the added stability of his CO Elise in the high speed corners...

Anthony, fair question. This front spoiler attaches by no fewer than 8-10 attachment brackets and bolts. Only two are new holes that you drill under the 'license plate' portion of the front clam. All other locations utilize the stock bolts and also by 4 ingenious brackets that GUT designed to secure the spoiler in each of the wheel wells. It is the best secured aero kit that I have found. And very easy to install.
I am not aware of any cars that have torn off the GUT wings.

I saw this set in person. It is one of my favorites. Great job Shinoo! Are you getting their white carbon interior bits as well? I don't believe they have any white carbon for our cars...I'll see them in Jan so I'll ask.

Do they have this spoiler in traditional carbon fiber?
A:
Do they have this spoiler in traditional carbon fiber? I'd also would be interested in a CF wing. If so, cost?
A:
what color is the front spoiler unfinished?, I would prefer a matte black finish.
I am definately interested at that price. When will they be available?
A:
How much does it reduce ground clearance / ability to negotiate curbs... I can make it over almost everything right now (even with LSS) and this looks like it would be a challenge.

I second this question
A:
The kit is very attractive. It really compliments the aggresive design of the Elise. Personally, I would like to hear the results of more significant testing before I'd consider it a performance enhancement. Apparently the Exige looses near all the rear visibility as a result of the wing. Even under those circumstances the downforce achieved is only moderate. If it is does eliminate an area of turbulent air you might actually see the terminal velocity increase.
A:
Do they have this spoiler in traditional carbon fiber? Yes, they can make it. Let me get the pricing.

I am definately interested at that price. When will they be available? White. 10 kits are in Customs now. A few are spoken for already. We'll have them this coming week or next.

Ground clearance is reduced by about .5". You will need to be careful with this spoiler or any that are currently available.

Shinoo, still waiting on the front dif. price in carbon?
