Q:
Is anyone else having a problem with grey insulation seeping out inbetween the side sill (step) and the black protector piece? Sooner or later the rattling is going to start.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Ah, the "side sill spooge!"
It's a case of ... eventually. So far, the consensus seems to be to take a sharp exacto knife and cut it off.

I pushed it back up in there a couple months ago and haven't seen it since.

That's what my dealer does too. They recommend not taking off that cover as it seems there's a good deal of foam in there and it all comes out like the spring loaded snakes in the fake peanut can when you take it off -- apparently. Never tried it.
Cheers.

I've cut it several times. Think I'll try the push method this time and see if it works better. Thanks

I keep pushing it up and it keeps seeping out again... i'm thinking about removing the sill and repairing it.

If you do I'd love to hear how you fix it. I wonder if you could use some of that cut and stick stereo insulation.
