carbon fiber grills/vents?

Interior Exterior

Q:
Has anyone looked into fabricating carbon fiber pieces for the vents over the engine and radiator? I have not seen anything yet and these would be the two plastic things I would like to replace first.
In the mean time, any good tips on cleaning off wax residue? It was all nice and black, the sun seems to have brought out some serious residue. It looks horrible.(I hate plastic) I think vantage talked about it once but can't find it.

Some people have painted them with excellent results.
There is no known vendor who has made carbon fiber pieces. I too would love to see this made.

Regarding the wax residue...
The trick is not to use wax. I use Zaino, not so much for the excellent shine and protection, but because it leaves NO whitish residue.
Their spray touchup product is great for the black plastic too.
