Just bought a series 1 190 hp lotus race car. From all accounts this car should be a lot of fun on the track. If anyone has had experience with this car or any of the rover 190 hp setup chime in.

This was the momo car. It has 664 miles , 2 owner car.The car has about 150 miles in the last 5 years. So i have had the car checked out at park place lotus and ran a leak down as well as compression test. Values were normal with only a 2% loss across the cylinders. I am also changing the brake fluid to blue and did a the oil and filter change.

Also, if you want to get a lot more info on the rover-powered Elises, check in at Seloc (www.seloc.org), where a large percentage of the users have them (it's out of the UK).

Mostly maintenance issues. The car does not have the factory books so i need to buy a manual for the car or at least get the maintenace requirements. Also the suspension set up for the track. As soon as I have pictures I'll post.

Momo car? So was this car brought in by Lotus USA?

Yes i received the release that the original buyer got from lotus. It was brought in legally. I contacted lotus to make sure this was the case.

I have driven the 190R on the GingerMan Raceway. On the second lap I began to talk to myself saying, "I gotta get rid of those stupid Porsches and get one of these!" Then the federal Elise came along and I got one. I love the car and think it's a great track car, but it's no 190R! You're gonna love it.

Yep, I did some "laps" on the ring road around the previous LCU hq in lawrenceville, what a sweet ride, and were it street legal, I'd of been all over buying one. Did some more laps in an S1 exige both sweet rides!!
