A&Q about Lotus

I only brought that up because I didn't really have a good explanation, as the customer, why I couldn't get the 2 simple things I was asking for and thought that COULD be a reason. I was not saying it was, but I was just trying to come up with some reason. Obviously this is not the case with Abe or his dealership nor did I get that impression when I was there, I only thought of it as I was driving home disappointed.
As far as the appointment goes, when David first said I needed an appointment, I was bummed because there wasn't anyone else in the dealership, surely I could get a test drive. But then he followed it up with the fact that someone from SD was coming down who DID have an appointment and even though I was bummed, I did understand. Though I did think, "Is there ANYONE who can help me get a test drive today??". The kicker to it all was the fact that I couldn't even get the car started to hear it. With no one there, it would of taken no time or effort to get the engine started so I could get a listen. The two things just compounded. I accept the apologies of Dave and from Abe as the manager. Everyone here has had stellar service for the most part from Lotus South Bay and I'm sure that will continue with Abe at the helm.
In the end, I've decided to give the new Lotus Beverly Hills a shot, but really only because it's closer to my neck of the woods. If I hadn't seen that the new dealership had opened I would of gone back to Abe and received the excellent service you have all come to know
The main thing with owning a Lotus is SERVICE. Be careful at the new Lotus of Beverly Hills. They are brand new and untested.
After all of this...and a personal apology from South Bay Lotus, you're going to buy at a place that has NO track record of service?
I think you're making a big mistake.
Well, at least you can stop complaining and this thread can go bye-bye.

Abe, you're the man. I would love all sales guys to care so much about the customer. That said, you will be a very busy and stressed man if you can't trust your staff to get the job done. It's a tough position to be in and there is a fine line between givng all the customers personal attention and micro managing the inept sales crew. The only choice is hiring a staff that cares as much as you do. Sh*t can the dummies. Good luck! After all the raves, I may try you out someday in the near future.

Was that really necessary? Are you a lotus salesman by chance?

Convenience is everything and I have no reason to think they won't give me anything but stellar service. Until they screw up, they get a shot, yes. I'm test driving one tomorrow.

have you thought about buying a used one from the forums? the pricing is pretty good for low milage cars here.

I am the Internet Manager at Lotus of Beverly Hills and I can assure you that will never happen here. I will do my best to ensure you have a great experience that you can tell your friends about. Not mention we have one of the largest inventories in the State. Give me a call to set up an appointment.

I live in Beverly Hills within walking distance of LOBH, and when they opened up I was curious and walked up and checked it out. I was greeted (or rather glared at) by a girl sitting at the front counter. She looked at me like I was interupting her ( though she was not busy) and said "can I help you" in one of those please leave now tones. I told her I had just purchased an Elise and wondered if they were going to open a serivice center. She shrugged without saying a word, and again looked at me like I should piss off, so I did.
Then again like I said early on in this thread experience varies based on who is encountered, Brandon sounds like a nice chap so far.

Personally I would not have tolerated that sort of treatment
I may have to go for a "Surprise Visit" in my Durango 95

a new thread just started stating that BH lotus is now scheduling appts for test drives, so it doesn't seem unreasonable at all that David S tried to schedule an appt for a test drive for crow331. i've dealt with David S and found him to be very capable, so like i said in an earlier post, don't really see what David S did wrong.
went to lexus last weekend to test drive an SUV, they were so busy they couldn't help me, didn't hold it against them, i'll just go back some other time. they had 5 sales persons for 7 customers. not too different than having 1 or 2 salespeople at SB lotus and having 3 customers at the same time

That girl wasn't there when I first walked in but she was there when I left. I didn't have any interaction with her, but the one thing I did notice ... She's HOT

EDITED out my comment ... never mind, if you don't know what the problem was, I can't make it any clearer

Well I don't want to get anybody in trouble, I don't remember her being especially hot, but she sure did have the attitude of a girl who THINKS she is hot, if you know what I mean. Not the kind of tude you want for a first impressions person at the front counter.

This thread is useless without pics!
Please stop by and tell her it's for promotional material of her dealership. If she agrees, then tell her's it's a topless shoot. Please post pics later. Thanks.

Who cares about the test drive, did you hear about the HOT CHICK?
J/K you can read a little about my test drive in the Lotus Bevery Hillis thread in GENERAL.
No more posting in here. This thread is "DONE". These aren't the droids you're looking for. The great and powerful Oz has spoken ... I mean Larry
