A&Q about Lotus
Q:
A day in the life
A while back I had the "okay" idea of adding extra gauges in the car, so I bought all the goods and took everything to a shop way north of Atlanta for the install job. It seemed to go okay until the next day I saw oil in my garage. One of the gauges is oil pressure.
I decide to go to the dealer for repairs since the first bunch apparently couldn't get it right. Well, that took two trips because a second of three adapters added by the first shop failed, so the dealer replaced the second and third as a precaution and off I went out almost 600 extra dollars.
Here I sit two weeks later. My car had a huge puddle below it this morning. In backing the car onto the tow truck (myself) I heard the lovely front clam scraping away (my focus was the rear view, is my excuse).
Just sharing my sadness. I guess there are many who would gladly trade their problems for mine...

sorry to hear about it.
I am SO glad I have decided not to do anything mechanical to the car.
Hope you get it fixed.

Just a short follow up. This sending unit, which I'm told is a lot heavier than it needed to be, separated at the connection to the engine block, leaving half of the treading in the block. Luckily LOA was able to remove it and fix things back to original condition. I'm glad I had the car towed. I never would have made it on my own and would have a ruined engine now.

Sorry to hear about the problems - glad they're fixed now.
Hey - the LOTUS letters in the back look great in black on the AR car. I think I might do that if/when my stock stickers peel.
