A&Q about Lotus
Q:
Does anybody know of a used Krypton colored Elise for sale? The car I have been looking at getting is the yellow, which would be fine, but I really, really want Krypton.
Also, thanks to everybody for the feedback on the other posting. It helped reassure me that getting an Elise where I live would not be a terrible decision!

Hey Tara-
I really wanted a used GG, and only a GG. I was ready to buy and wasn't in a rush. I browsed ebay and the for sale forums here daily. After a month and a half went by with no luck, I started talking to dealers and seeing what kind of deals I can get on new 06 GGs with the options I want. I didn't really want a new one so I waited another few weeks thinking about it when one of the dealers (Abe from SouthBay) messaged me on elisetalk saying they just got a used 05 GG elise in with most of the options I wanted (no hardtop, but I've been driving around with no top on mostly!). I drove down (5hr drive) a few days later and made the purchase
Anyways, i'd suggest to wait it out if it's the color you REALLY want. It's a lot of money and everytime I look at my car, I'm glad I waited it out instead of spending more for an 06, or getting a different color. I guess KG is a rare color so it may take a while for a used local-ish one to come on the market, though, so maybe it is better to just get the yellow one now. For me, only one other used GG was for sale during that month and a half. But, it was for sale in NY (I didn't want to ship a car, though I was willing to drive anywhere on the west coast to get it).
Also, do you care about the other options? Touring? Sport? Hardtop? Starshield?
I would also recommend looking at lists of things to check for on a used Elise, to make sure you don't later find out that it was in an accident, had a major part replaced, etc.

There is a new one on ebay for 53K. It has sportpack though which you might not want if this is primarily a street car.
