kinda like reversed discrimination i think! single white guy doesn't have near as many rights anymore. affirmative action at it's best!

Unfortunately, most prejudiced white people see a guy in a turban and they immediately connect with "Osama Bin Laden". That's prejudice, buddy, plain and simple.

Right... the single white guy can't go out and call Muslims a bunch of camel-jockey terrorists, so he revs his engine at them... poor white American man can't express his prejudice anymore, without getting picked on, even though he still gets all the money and nice Lotuses to drive around.
Explain to us, Mr. Cochran, why else would the guy be revving his engine at people who are obviously Muslims? Show us his glove.
What does prejudice against Muslims have to do with affirmative action, anyway? Last I checked, Muslims don't get any special help from our government.

Not all of them. I've had a few Muslim friends, and unless they told you they were Muslim you would have never known.

Some Muslims do wear turbans, too, as in that picture of bin Laden, but turbans are mostly worn by Sikhs. Observant Muslim women wear a scarf, but don't cover their faces. I don't know if I've ever seen a Muslim male student wearing head covering, while it is more and more common to see Muslim women with headscarves, the hijab--one of my division secretaries wears one. I've only seen one woman in my college with the face covering.
But I agree with Transio's larger point.

ummm. Steve, take a trip to the Arab world. I have spent a great deal of time over there and your statement is simply not true. Actually, remember Yasser Arafat? no turban right? in fact many don't even wear the headress (which signifies clan affiliation) Iraqis are generally red and white, Palistine is dark blue or maybe black and white, etc. Many men just have plain old haircuts.
