What's in the Downloadable $100 ECU/ECM Files?

The owner of the Elise that I'm going to be co-auto crossing bought the $25, 24 hour Lotus web site membership. For that price you can download the shop manuals.

For another $100 you can access files related to the ECU/ECM. Does anyone know what's in those files? What can "private citizens" do with those files?

I wonder if they say anything about how much octane the US Elise can take advantage of?

It is my understanding that the down loadable ECU files are the "re-flashes" that you would get if you took the car to the dealer. They are required to make that available to non-dealer mechanics. Of course you would need the Lotus Scan Tool to do the re-flashes, and that costs a couple of thousand...
