A&Q about Lotus
Q:
Hey everyone, you should be preparing for the OSU/Michigan game right now instead of answering forums, but I've read several threads about people getting speeding tickets.
My questions is what color is your car that you got your ticket with? I have a theory that CO elise/exiges get pulled over the most. You can spot that its a flashy car a mile away. You've got to get close to a black one before it catches your eye I think:

Yep, I'd bet that SoY, SY, CO, KG, and to a lesser extent AR, CR, and AW 111's get law enforcement (and other) attention sooner than the darker and more subdued colors.

My insurance lady said had I gotten a red or yellow or any bright color my premiums would've gone up significantly. I dunno how much because we never calculated it, but enough to make the color choice one of the major factors when choosing my Elise. Glad I stuck with my SB, but I still got massive ticketage couple months ago.

One important to remember, if you want to do this pseudo-scientifically, is the volume of colors on the road. Say if you hear 5 guys in Co getting tickets vs. nobody with AG or AB, not many of those driving around.
A:
Hey Rush,
Looks like you have a Touring Elise. Where is your HT BTW?

Ardent Red = 90 in a 55 (could have been 95 in a 40 but the cop was really nice)

i've already passed a cop a few times now without event, thank god. Once i was actually the faster on the road and going about 85 on highway 101. I don't know if he didn't see me or what. I think bay area CHP can be pretty cool. If you're just crusing along driving smoothly they don't seem to care too much. I just watched a cop let a garish transam pass him going 75 as the fastest on the road and the guy was busy text messaging so he didn't see the officer. Officer just pulled in front of him to get his attention. They seem mostly to just be looking for wreckless or irresponsible and bad drivers... but i would have pulled over the trans am. Texting on the road is bad enough... doing it in the fast lane and being the fastest on the road should be considered an idiot maneuver.
Oh, mines White. LOVE IT! Perfect color to show all the details and style in the body and trim, without being a "fast" color.

no pullovers with GG (knock on wood)... some say its stealthy! but also stealthy for other drivers on the road so I make sure to pay attention more than other colors

Yeah I'm in love with the starlight black. I'm usually not a fan of black cars but the metallic paint is beautiful. Plus it makes it look like the batmobile...well so I thought until I saw serebo's matte black! That looks awesome...if only it was actually stealth
