I agree! I think a nice removable (Velcro!) Lexan rear window would be glorious!

I bought a Lexan rear window with the idea of doing the removable thing(summer, etc.). But on closer inspection I noticed that the original Elise had no rear window, just an exposed roll hoop(genius!). So, I removed the rear glass then gutted the doors, etc., etc.. I will end up with removable side glass and a removable rear window that can only attach at the bottom and halfway up the sides(probably never use it), the rest of the rear glass top bulkhead has been removed in order to achieve lightness and the roadster look.
The canvas top will use the roll cage as a frame and can be snapped on of off. I also want to have a shoulder height tonneau made for single seat touring or track days. A good friend of my father's that has been doing boat canvas for forty years is excited about the project and willing to play.
The car looks so much lower with the roll hoop cover removed! NICE! I also relocated the third brakelight to the top of the bodywork at the leading edge of the engine cover..

How about a mesh screen?
I'm not sure why you'd want to, but maybe it would keep the bugs out.

The LSD controversy finally settled...the Elise DOES need an LSD.

I will wager a guess that the car comes in at 1750lb with the S/C and cage...
