No, mine drove Station Wagons, Datsuns, and Volvos. I believe my father drove some 1960/1970 muscle cars before he surrended his individuality and got married.

No. I guess I'm the first...

64 MG, complete with red & white surry & dingle balls.

My dad had MG's (and an old mustang) long before he had kids.
My mom at one point had a jaguar but it was a 4 door (not sure if that counts).
My first sporty car was a 66 mustang, then a 76 vette, now a 06 Elise, if I had listened to either of them I wouldn't have gotten any of them.

Before I was around, my dad had a late 60s GTO, stingray vette, and Firebird. He always tells me how cheap he got each one compared to today's prices . He sold the vette for $500 more than he bought it for (6 months after purchase).
He then moved over to sedans for family stuff... now he's older but back to sports cars... currently has a z4 (3.0i sport)

No...but, my best friend's Dad had two Sunbeams, and the nextdoor neighbor had two MGs, which had the same effect, I think.

My parents didn't even have cars much less sportscars. My uncle is a bit of a car guy and went through a few, that's where I got my habit from.

My dad had a VW Bettle..ofcourse..before I was borned. I think it was in 1960 somthing. He told me that car used to be so hot in Asia.

my father has always had some form of Datsun 240. The first car that I ever drove by myself was my mothers '74 560 SL. After she found out about my Exige she picked up an Elise.

When I went to college, my father treated himself to a '79 308 GTS. He still has that one .... and a BMW M3 (E36).
Before I was born he had an Autin Healey and then a fastback Corvette.

Not really, my mom had an Fiat X 1/9 before I was born. No one on my dads side has ever been into cars. My dad has always been mechanical though, just never automotive. My mom's brothers have always been car people though. They've mostly been into muscle cars but have been working together on a pair of BMW 2002s for the past few years.
