A&Q about Lotus
Q:
awesome tour
cars I saw
Exige S
Europa S
Exige 265E (Hot Lapping!) that thing is fast!
Their painters are on 3 shifts.
They use autogleam as a polish, if needed. Never heard of the stuff but will be looking into it. They recommended not polishing though unless you HAVE TO. Any polishing cuts back on the surface - may be obvious - but true.
They don't have a big lot full of cars but they do have some stock - very efficient - A just in time model.
They don't allow cameras on site but here's some pics I took before I surrendered my camera.

elisel- I think the product is autoglym, Lotus has been using it for years, but don't think it's available in the states, although Lotus dealers in the US used to offer it.

Did you see any Storm Tittanium Elise S' being made? It's the new 134bhp model for the UK. Mine should have been on the production line that week!

Polishing. Smoothing the paint surface itself.
Someone over at autopia recently tested several products for swirl/scratch removal on the same body panel and Autoglym "achieved the best defect removal".
