yep... that's the question i was asked when i was getting out of my exige...
this guy with his sunglasses on rolls down his window from his car and asks me... "Is that the new smart car?"... i didn't give him the look i wanted to... which was
but i kindly told him... "It's a Lotus Exige."
and then he goes... "Who makes it?"
again i kindly tell him... Lotus makes Lotus... this was around the same time his wife or whomever it was sitting next to him tells him... "Lotus does"... apparently she understood what i said

I've always thought there was a vague resemblence between the Elise S1 and the Smart Roadster. But that's not the Smart that's coming to the US.

Well, sure you're average Joe could mistake an Exige for a Smart car... they're both super-small, 2-door, 2-seaters. And they both look "smart".

Every one keeps saying that the Elise is small, for a mid engine 2 door roadster it is not that small, it's bigger then by old Porsche 914-6 and it's bigger then by 2003 Mini Cooper S it is wider then my 2003 BMW 330 coupe and when the two are in the garage next to each other it's only about a foot shorter it's bigger then my frist car a 1960 TR3 and most other two seat roadsters.

No. It would haves beens weller english.
In that post, the first "then" I was like... eww... let it slide, then they just coming one more after another. By the end of the post, I was wondering what in the world was wrong with him. lol
I figure he's probably speaking English as a second language and is better at English than I am at any potential 2nd language.
