I am new to the forum. I have decided to buy a fun car. I own a truck and 2006 BMW 330i. What are the pro's or con's of the elise. Are there alot of maintaince issues? Thanks ahead of time for the help.

Come on Matt, if you're so lazy not to do some legwork by reading the many posts about this topic as well as not using Search, the Elise just aint for you.

The Elise is for enthusiasts who don't mind putting in the effort, whether it's owning, driving, maintaining it or getting to know all the facts about it.

Welcome to the gang Matt, stick around Elise is a fun car. The Toyota powertrain has really reduced the mechanical unreliability of the past that is so traditionally british.

Matt, Take one out for a drive and see for yourself after you read up on some of threads here. FYI, Some rental agencies are going to start having elises for rent, a great opportunity to get more than just a test drive. Don't know your location, but one rental agency is a member here zen garage in chicago.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. Lateapex I know how to use the search buttons and am doing my research as I search the rest of the site. I just located this site 30 min ago. Do you have any other great advice?? To all the others thanks for the links and the help.

Test drive is the best medicine. If you're not hooked as you settle into the seat, then don't buy one when you get out of it.
