A&Q about Lotus

Hello all.
I would like to make the bottom of my car white...like theType 49 special" that Lotus puts out from time to time. I think it was called the Gold Leaf cars.
Is there some sort of decal..or plastic that will bend around the corners...and look like paint...but will come off. I want to do the bottom 1/2..under the belt line...all the way around.
then I want to put a gold line at the place where they meet..

Even if you could get vinyl custom cut to size here (which is not difficult, you just need the pattern), I wouldn't recommend it. Those lower surfaces take quite a beating from road debris and the vinyl I've seen used for stripes is not very thick (perhaps there's a thicker option?). Paint would be the best option by far.

PAINT IT! It will look great, I wish I would have thought of it.

One more thing - that gold line is going to look weird if you don't also have gold/bronze wheels to match. If using stock silver wheels, perhaps consider a silver line instead?

I am sure I did not think of it first...but be that as it may...I have star shield on my car...so unless I take that off...I am not painting it.
I thought the decal would be cheaper than paint..I would prefer not to paint it...
Perhaps I will do this..I will give it some thought..
If any one has any other ideas..let me know.

Gonna bring it to LOG to add some steer horns to the car, too?
I could imagine getting some of the 3M clear-bra material and placing it on the car and painting it, perhaps. Easily (?) removed if you tire of it. However, I'm with Matt and Jim -- paint it. You'll probably love it forever, but if not, there's always another paint option around the corner, so to speak.

You can have the car wrapped. It's very durable but it is also fairly expensive. About 2k to do the entire car but maybe less for half?

High performance vinyl. Or the wrap vinyl won't cost very much for that small piece. may be a little difficult to get the full strech with no seams. It will hold up fine. The vinyl on the front of my bike has taken many triple digit bug hits (and one bird hit) in the 5 years it's been on and its fine. If it gets rough, peel it and intstall new. No big deal. If paint gets rough, repaint- big deal.
