No fault lights. No Gas smell, ....
The cap has been good.

I did the Stant mod about a month and a half ago and it's been working great. No engine faults or other problems.

I just did the mod, and it took less than 5 minutes. So far no faults, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I did exactly as you said and it worked great. Took about 2 minutes and I am nor mechanically inclined.

Took like 30 seconds to do... seriously.
It took me longer to walk to the garage and pull the old cap then to make the changeout.

Where can I get the lanyard? Does it hang against the car body when it's hanging?

They were OEM on the early cars. The cap can be "twisted" to the side an propped there, but it kind of hangs, and can touch the paint very gently if you are not careful. No big deal for me.
