Bingo. Without adding CF all over like Val has done or Lotus Trim Shop seats with CF textured leather, doing only the console adds another texture to the interior that didn't previously exist and gives it a disconnected appearance.

on the blue leather what's that extra skinny U-shaped piece? and how hard is it to get the center consol in and out? I like the leather there. I'm not sure i totally like it matching the seats... with red seats i might prefer black leather. That blue could actually look nice in a white car also...

I really liked the 2 tone red/black that was in the titanium car.

Cheesy plastic......, O wait, that's what it's already made of!

The skinny U shape is the shot glass holder thingy.

BTW - the blue pieces are for sale. We ordered them for a customer who changed his mind. Unfortunately, Lotus wouldn't take them back, so they're sitting on the shelf...

I got my CF Console from Sector111 and finally got it installed this weekend. Do all the CF consoles NOT go all the way down to the floor? It's nice and tight and installed correctly but I have a large gap from the bottom of the console to the floor pan and a large gap at the very front where the console wraps around the floor pan divider!?!?!?? What is happening is the CF console is too narrow at the center divider slot. It looks like Val has the same issue?

I have not contacted Sector111 yet to ask them about this and now I'm a little worried that because I've been so busy and didnt have time to install it right away I may not get another if I have a defective CF console. I also had to drill a small hole for my traction control button. My invoice date is 9/29/06. Here is Val's picture and the gap I'm talking about...anyone else have this problem? Any advice?

which one looks better?

EDIT: My interior is black and no touring package (no leather), so I have one of those manual windows . My exterior color is laser blue.
Well, do you have any other carbon fiber in the car? If the console is going to be the only thing in carbon, then a painted console would be a better choice. Also, don't forgot paint the a/c console.
A:
after careful thinking, i m going with painted console. i will have another carbon, but that would be the front splitter, and maybe reverie side scoop

now need to find who can paint it in san diego
A:
Anyone know how much the CF center console weighs? Given the flimsy stock plastic, I'm guessing it adds weight even if it is CF.

To me I think it would really depend on the exterior color - I really wanted a white elise but they didn't have white available at that time - but a painted white center console and HVAC surround probably wouldn't look that good. Seems like for Silver, black, white...CF would be best.

I am glad I did mine in Krypton - really brightens up a rather dark interior...got some seats and door inserts on order from the Lotus trim shop...

How much if you don't mind sharing? Also is it matching material to the seats?
