A&Q about Lotus
Q:
Hey Serebo, did you get the side markers black out as well? How does one do that?

Well, he did it, and it looks great and there's no noticable loss of performance from the HID's. Steve was right, as usual. (He told me that had I not liked it, he would have put it back to clear.)
hehehe, i knew it. i am also contemplating on blacking out my headlight with 3/10 tint, but of course, those have to wait until I have my HID installed.
I can't wait for my car finished product. I would be surprised myself.
Due date: end of Nov for first phase. You might be able to see it first hand if the date alligns perfectly...
Second phase: no dates so far, but it should be soon as my rear tires are wearing out. *hint hint hint*
EDIT: Why is this post in the "Maintenance and repairs"? Weird, Serebo1 car is finished product. It should be in General Discussion to elevate his status to a new level...

Yes, a light tint sprayed on by Specialty Car Craft. Another option is to go with a precut tinting film. StickerCity.com can probably do it for you and send it out. Hell, for a couple dozen crabs, I'll walk them out to you

I have no idea what that means, but don't lump me in with the moremonkey crowd.

Thanks, Terrapin. If you're up for some late night reading, here's the thread on the job.

Wish we had a parking spot NOT in front of a picturesque restaurant menu...
I'll do better next time. Need some club to park next to, for some colorful lights, not this tungsten crap...
To become your avatar - it's an honor. If only for a day. You might change it again when you see what else I have coming...
goodnight.

Thanks Luke! The honor is mine. Once I get the front splitter back on, let's take it up to Sunset Blvd. and shoot it in front of the Key Club, maybe on Monday night with the Metal Skool crowd.
Have a great night, and my apologies to Dom.

Thanks Kilnjox, especially for all your input. Yes, went matte black with matte clear mixed into the paint, in addition to the matte clear on top. Also mixed in a good dose of white paint to the black to give it some sheen.
Gotta say, 99% of ETers were very supportive, even if they didn't agree with the choice.

Alan, Glad to see you got your car primered. Now hopefully you'll have the money soon to have it painted properly.

C'mon, Ron. You're a professional; don't you know any other tunes? Take your car to SCC. I'm sure they can paint it FLAT GREEN.
