I think this is nice. I don't have anything to add since I've only had my car for a couple weeks.

Sweet, a lot of these threads are in my subscribed threads, but this is even easier
edit: here are some threads that i had subscribed to that you may have missed, not sure if you would want to add them (some may not be applicable to this thread)

Excellent work! The "Door Sill Tape" link isn't working for me. Another common problem you might want to add is that regarding the oil cooler leak; no easy fix, though, unless it's due to a hose popping off (like mine).

What does IIRC mean?
A:
Well, IIRC, it means If I Remember Correctly.

Door Sill Tape: Fixed link.
Oil cooler leak: I had a section mentioning to check for leaks. I've expanded it to be more clear.

a freakin awesome thread for lost noobs like myself... a BIG thanks for myself and the other lost people....

Under "Emergency unlock procedure", people should first try to remove the battery from their FOB, wait 10 seconds and put it back in. Worked the last time I was locked out of my car.
A:
Great thread - this should be a sticky.

Awesome thread, the earlier version really helped me before I got my car a few weeks ago.
Suggestions: Add the Tim Mullen axiom "there is no touring suspension."
Add the "hold the demo button for four seconds" to turn of the disco lights on the Blaupunkt. I want to fly to Berlin and find whomever is responsible for that.
Add "PDR". That acronym was a big WTF to me since it pops up a lot on the forum, and it's not defined anywhere. I suppose it means personal data recorder, also a cool idea for an in-car track day gadget. This thread has more.

Cool thread. It's turned me on to some stuff I'd somehow missed before, like painting your shift pattern.

Noted.

What about the window leak in addition to the rattle mine leaks and rattles. Also that rattle fix doesn't seem to work for everyones car. Does anyone know of another fix?
A:
I just hit a 20000 character limit. I wish I had hit it sooner. I could have broken the sections into individual posts.
. . . condensing . . .

You might want to add the link to the thread on how to install the Lotus Driving Lights - it seems to be "hit" a lot...

Thanks for the links. I added info on the remote range mod. I'm not sure about the other info at this point. There's a lot of info in there. If there's something specific you think I should add, please let me know.

Thought you might like that. Not sure it will save you any typing though!
I added the link for the lights.

I updated the information for you. First make sure everything is tight. Then adjust the window so it doesn't leak. Then tweak those adjustments so there's no rattle. That should do it.
If not and you find the source and solution to your problem, please post it here. Most of this information has accumlated through experiences such as yours.
