Hi Everyone,
Contrary to many of you who inquired with local dealers in your area and were told that Cup Cars were going to be scarce if not difficult to obtain, I am pleased to announce that we are accepting orders for the 2007 model year.
Based on the currrent order bank, orders placed now will have a estimated delivery date of February/March 2007.
As for those who have asked for pictures of the new 2007 models, there will be plenty published the first week of November as the new model year will be formally introduced at this years SEMA show in Las Vegas. The new 2007Lotus will be showcased in both the Yokohama and JVC booth's this year so come out and see them.
On another note, for those that are not current Elise or Exige owners, Elise's are available in California (San Diego, LA, Beverly Hills), Florida (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach) and Nevada (Las Vegas) for daily rental through Enterprise Rent A Car at a very affordable rate (check with Enterprise for current rates in the city of your choice). This will give a number of you a chance to experience the Lotus Elise for a day or a few.

I am part of the new management team here at Lotus Cars as I head up all fleet operations and the newly formed Lotus Financial Services division.

Of course anyone in our area is welcome to come in and order their Cup Car with us as well. We'll have about 6 in this area for next season and we're working on getting a series started. That series will be a great venue for these spectacular cars to perform and show what they are capable of. The series will not be limited to Cup cars..........Details to follow.....

Thanks for the heads-up.
I just "spec'ed" out the Cup Car yesterday -- will the '07 be called CUP255?
Now there are options for a fuel cell, air jacks and ........air conditioning -- what's that all about???
Doesn't everyone need two Cup cars or is it just us crazy people....

I've spoken to Mark on several occasions about his plans and what he has up his sleaves is simply awesome. Club111 is lending full support to his efforts as will I personally.

If you are considering a Cup car and are in the northeast, goto HRM first. They have a first rate support department that can handle motorsport and street vehicles. Mark also understands the market and the product better than anyone else (other than myself ). If you are serious and in the Midatlantic/ Northeast, he's the man to speak to.

I know that this is a really stupid ? that you won't be able to answer but is Lotus ever going to relase the supercharger components to those of us who already bought one of their cars?

Only if the new management wants to increase sales and keep the customer base interested and happy.

Okay guys (and Gals),
Orders for these puppies must be placed through a franchised dealer as all of the allocations have now been filled. As stated above, Beverly Hills has 2 units available and other dealers may have some as well.
There were also questions regarding fuel cells and airjacks. There is a smaller fuel cell available which will reduce overall weight to the vehicle, and airjacks are also available but based on the location of the airjack unit, vehicles order with them cannot be spec'd with a heater or windshield defroster. AC is an available option but very few if any have ordered thier cars with it.
As a correction to the above posting, the official introduction of the 2007 model year will occurr at the LA Auto Show and not SEMA, but if anyone would like a sneak peak at the cars, you may see it at SEMA in 2 weeks.
We are all excited about these in-bound cars and are looking forward to putting a group of owners together for a series or just getting them on the track for some really great racing.

I wish that was true. I can say that we are looking into track events sponsored by our dealership every quarter as we do for all our Lamborghini customers. It has not finalize yet, but I do expect we will.
I would also like to invite you guys all out to Calabassas on the last Sunday of the month. It is right off the freeway where the Island and Taco Bell are in the parking lot by the BofA. All kinds of exotic cars, motorcycles, and now, hopefull Lotus owners as well. I will be there and I hope you will to.
