A&Q about Lotus

I just got a 2006 Exige. All I can say is the thing is awsome. I have a couple questions I was hoping some of you could answer.
1. Has any one installed one of the pioneer avic head units with built in navigation. This unit has the option of a back up camera and it would be nice since I can not seem to see anything out of the back of the car. I did not know if the unit would clear the lip the sticks out above he regular unit.
2. I like the seats in the car but would like a bit more cushion. I did not buy the car because I wanted a luxuary car but I would like a but more bolstering and cushion.
3. Is there anyone on Elise talk that is from the Virginia Beach area and knows of any autocross clubs or trips o VIR.

It has been done. I had saved this picture, but you could find the car's owner if you hunt through the last dozen pages or so of the "post pictures of your new elise" thread.
Lotus sells some seat bolsters through dealers. I don't know if they're any good.

Euroclassics in Midlothian sponsors a couple track days a year--one at VIR and one at RIR. The Tidewater Sports Car Club runs autox's on the LCAC parking area out at Little Creek Amphib Base nearly every month. They have a web site here. Never been myself but it sounds way fun.

About the seat cushions, there is a thread where a guy used Kemmler airgel for his seat and is very happy with the change in comfort. is the page for the foam.Do a search for the thread.

That should be factory on the Exige... it can't weigh much more then the factory POS anyway It also adds a cool "James Bond" touch to the car.
I'm ok with the visibility on my Elise with the multivex mirrors.
