I was very impressed that amoungst all of these pictures every one seemed to show evidence of a very well protected driver/pasenger area. Yet another reason that Im so impressed by Lotus.

Yes, even the flipped Exige posted in September came out of it without too much damage to the interior or driver. While the exterior is fragile, the tub usually survives. Stocktony's horrible crash in August is supposedly the first if not only Elise fatality in the US and even that car's interior is mostly intact.

Guy I used to autocross with is the 2nd fatality I know of...from what I was told he was killed on impact with a Dale Earnhart-type of injury.
