I have an Arqray single tip and have run many track events in 90+ degree temps without a problem. But some people who have run in similar conditions with the stock exhaust and altered their heat shields, have experienced problems. So, if you're going to use the stock exhaust, you should probably keep your heat shield in place.
YES. my muffler guy told me when i replaced to the dual tubular to keep the heatshield on. You never know!

As an additional point of reference, I have been running the 2ubular 7" single exit exhaust with the rear heatshielding removed and the challenger grill all year including 3 or 4 track days with very high outside air temps.
While the exhaust tip melted a bit of the aftermarket carbon rear diffuser (easily remedied by cutting out a section of the diifuser with a dremel), there have been no other heat-related issues with this combo.
