A&Q about Lotus
Q:
Note optimistic sales pitch on this one:
This vehicle will need some work done to it to make it a drivable vehicle but with some work this Lotus will be a fun, fast car to drive around. This car will be sold as is no warranty.
A:
An oil change and a good coat of wax...she'll be good as new
A:
dear lord!!! what happened to that car? i hope the people in the car were OK.
I see the front tire looks OK therefor:
I bid $1.50 I am now the current high bidder.
A:
"drivers door and rear deck lid are in good condition with no dents or dings.."
that in itself has got to be worth the $1 they are asking!!
A:
tmr: what does your name mean? It means something to me, and I'm just checking since you're on the wrong coast for what I'm thinking of heheh.
A:
I wonder if that's Stocktony's car.
A:

That cardboard box of misc fiberglass had me laughing that was just totally sad ... We're talking today how a car that was dropped of a lift 5' in the air is totaled ... and THIS one comes up ...

Speaking of that, are there any fatality numbers on this car in the U.S.? I have a worried mother who says I'll be killed instantly in an accident

I just thought the same thing. I was looking to see if I could find the pics of the accident but it looks like they've since been removed. Look at the date on the window of the car...around the same time of the accident. I recall the passenger side door looking like that after they took Tracy out. Just makes me sad all over again.

From what I was told by Lotus UK, the Stocktony accident was the first fatality in an Elise in the US.

A crack in the passenger floor? Don't worry.. It'll drive just fine! I'll bet that burned out shell of an e-type in the background would be marketted as "just some paint and a bit of leather for the interior and you could take her to a concours event!"

I wondered the same thing as the color and geographic location is right. However, it looks like it has much more damage than his did... at least from what I recall looking at the pictures. Maybe they've started taking it apart already. I still think about that accident everytime I'm out on a spirited drive.
