I personally tint 20% on all of my cars. I think a car isn't complete until it is tinted. What about you guys?

i think tinting can agravate the police becuase they think you've got something to hide. It can look quite good however.

I think it depends on the purpose and where you live. Arizona everryone has tint. I considered tint during the hot days of summer when it's so hot you must keep the top on and use the air...yes, even occasionally in Oregon. I think it looks cool too, just have not done it yet. Most of the time its worthy of no top during the summer so I figure...

Police is my last consideration. I don't even use a front plate cause it makes the car ugly. I get tickets for it every time I go out for a long drive...LOL
I told the guy who did the Lotus to do my windshiled 35% but he refused.

This house was only $550K so no garage. I moved in after my wedding a few years ago. Need to spend $1M+ to get a one car garage here. Next house.
That is the reason I do not have any REAL toys, ie. Lambo, Bentley, etc. all of which are on the list if I find a damn garage to rent locally. Notice how all of my cars, while semi-nice, are also great beaters and not anything I should mind leaving outside in NYC winters for that very reason.
We just redid the entire house last winter so everything inside is custom and it would be a shame to move now and rent it to someone only to destroy it.
I see what my tenants in Florida do to the place everytime I renovate.

I have a 35% (medium) tint on the side and a dark 20% on the rear window. I wanted 35% all around, but my tinter convinced me to do 20% on the back. It was the right decision, the darker tint cuts more headlight glare. also, the way the rear window is positioned, you can't tell they're darker than the side windows.

Same with my dad. Except we havent gotten a ticket for it yet. He doesnt have a front plate becuz the whole family thinks it looks to tacky. We're thinking about getting some sort of a stencil and paint and paint Elise on it or something....what do you guys think?
Also, we have window tinting on ours too...dont remember the % but ik it's illegal %, (aka cash only bar) I think its a good thing though especially for those hot days. and no ticket for the illegal window tinting either.

I want to tint my windows and it will be as dark as my headlight-turn signal tint, i think it looks awesome on the car.
btw, if you see cops, just roll down your window. lol, they won't see your tinted windows.

Just got my windows tinted to legal limit here in Florida (35% side windows, 20% rear window, plus a 35% visor strip along the top of the windshield). Looks great, but it is almost a necessity here in the Florida heat and sun. Can't believe I waited ten months to get it done.
