A&Q about Lotus
Q:
I was trying to find some of Stan's great 'how to' posts, and couldn't find them in the search function, so I went to members list to try that way and he isn't even listed as a member?
I guess maybe that his name wasn't his call sign, and now I can't find the posts - help please!!

Oh NO...

What happened to Stan? Are you kidding? This has been one of the biggest topics of debate around here. He was banned from EliseTalk. I know that he requested that his posts be removed. I'm not sure if they were, but if you can't find them, I guess they were.

I just found one of Stan's posts under "maintainance and repairs" , so it doesn't seem that they have been deleted.
A:
wow. absent for a couple weeks and all hell breaks loose

You just need to search by user name. Click on the search box, then go advanced. Search by user 'stan'; you can choose to search for threads he started if you choose. See screenshot below.

Go to moremonkey.com. He has a bunch of technical threads there. If you are offender easily, Monkey isn't moderated and he language is rough at times. Other than that, the site is more geared towards Lotus related issues. A great site! I think you should still be able to find his stuff on here though. It would be a shame to lose all Stan's technical posts on ET. Stan was one of the few (literally) who actually contributed to making a car forum a car forum, mainly because he talked about modding/fixing the car! Go figure on that one.

Ahhh, I see, thanks guys. Sorry to hear he fell out with this team as I really liked his posts, and made several of his mods to great effect. However I wouldn't venture back to MM after that slowpoke track hoggin' fool Ronin spewed his irksome vitriol at me after I told him he needed some bigger better mirrors when he blocked me for the entire last four laps of the day at BW!!
(ps: I confess, I only really hang the track and Circuit Car areas of this site, thus I missed the Stan ban thing.)
