A&Q about Lotus
Q:
Does anyone know of a good traffic attorney in So Cal, specifically the LA area? I have a court date coming up to fight my ticket and I'd like to have a fighting chance. If anyone has any recommendations, please post, PM, etc.
Thanks in advance.

Damn, I could use this information as well.

Go the day before and watch what the judge does to those who please guilty vs not. Then you'll probably choose to plead guilty and ask for leniency. Else, you could ask for a deal with the DA if they offer that option. That's usually the best, if the DA's not a

This is some good advice (though I'm not so sure about "admit it vehemently"):
Good luck.

I've found an attorney in the area that I'm going to talk to tomorrow. Hopefully he'll be reasonable. They said they had a 95% success rate. If he's decent, I'll PM you with the info.

I'd do that, but it's over an hour away from here with no traffic. So, it's probably going to kill a whole day going up there. I'm not so sure that they'll be too lenient since the cop got me on radar doing 83 in a 45. Ooops.

Thanks for the link. I don't think admitting guilt is a good idea either. Here, it's guilty until proven innocent anyway. I've been doing a lot of research into this and one thing that I found incredible is that the state of Kalifornia takes in over $1Bn a year in traffic ticket fines. Unreal. Anyway, I'll cough up the money if I have to, but I really don't want the points on my license. I drive safely, haven't been in any accidents in well over 10 years, so I don't see why my insurance premiums should increase.
