Can Exige side scoop fit Elise?

A&Q about Lotus

Q:
Just curious... I would think so, but need assurance from ET.

Thanks.
A:
not without lots of modifications... look into the revierie (sp?) side scoops, but even those need minor modification to fit..
A:
damn, i thought it would be like an easy fit in. after installing exige scoop, can it be referred back to stock without the visibility of the holes?

I know the reverie side scoops requires drilling and can be referred back to stock since those holes are not visible per their install instruction.
A:
probably not unless you modify it again.. if you really want the side scoops go with the reverie or get a exige rear clam..
A:
I bought the carbon fibre scoops from EliseParts and was a little disappointed to learn after I got them that they require drilling two holes in the body work and one in the top of one of the stock 'louvers'/slats/grille/whatever you call them where the scoops go. I assumed they would replace the 'louvers', but they cover them and brackets must be riveted and epoxied in place to hold them. I'm going to consult with my local body shop to see if we can figure out a way to mount them by removing the stock 'louvers' and making some brackets that fasten where they did. The parts are very well made and finished, so I'll probably still put them on.
A:
Maybe try to just make some clamps to lock them on the louvers?
A:
According to installation manual from sector111, it says that the holes will not be visible outside if somehow it's going to be reverted back to stock.

can anyone with reverie scoop confirm? I am interested in getting the scoop but would like to have the convinient to revert back to stock Elise if necessary.

Thanks.
A:
That one is made specifically for the elise..
A:
yes
