I'm just wondering if that's an "i" or an "a" censored out there.

Jeremy Clarkson is aware of this thread. I passed along my and my partner's concern's to him for Hammond's condition - he replied:

"Thanks. Tell everyone he's feeling much better. Still too early to say, however, what state he'll be in in the fulness of time. "

So, there it is. Sounds optimistic; Hammond's a fighter; let's hope he pushes through.

Its great to hear he's doing so well. I do hope he continues to recover, and wish him and his family the best.

On a side note:

“The reason you’re here mate is because you’re a c**p driver.”
OK, I got the rest of them, but this one I can't figure out. Do I live too sheltered of a life?

A:
They bleeped that out?!?! Maybe I should crawl out of the before I worry too much about living a sheltered life.
A:

A:
Serebo, how do you know Jeremy? (Not gonna try to contact him, just curious.)

This whole thing reminds me of the episode when Richard Hammond was hypnotized and couldn't remember how to drive. Anyone else remember that one?

Hope he "snaps" out of it soon.

Clarkson's longer Sunday Times piece

The Road Safety Minister defends Top Gear
A:
That Sunday Times piece is a great read. Clarkson really is as good a writer as a presenter. Thanks for posting this!!!

I wonder if Hammond would seriously be willing to get back into the Vampire after recovery and tempt fate?

Perhaps they should have changed the tires after each run.

As for his wife's calmness, she was probably in complete denial of a negative outcome. Some people go into that mode during emergencies.

Sounds like things are looking really good now. I can't wait for them to get back on the air and see how they handle this whole situation on the show.

I was thinking the same. It would be too cheesey to say something like the reports of my demise are grossly exagerated. But I do expect Clarkson to take a crack at not being able to get rid of the hamster.

That was the original plan they had in case any of them died. However, luckily, that is no longer the case.

"He's completely fixed after his minor crash... the only thing that's really breaking his heart is he has chipped one of his whitened teeth," he said.
