Lotus epa Certification

A&Q about Lotus

Q:
I was trying to figure out the differences between the Exige S and the Cup 240. I started by searching the EPA website and found info on the S but not the cup 240. The MY06 Certification Part II, lists the part numbers of all emission related devices, but nothing on the Cup.

Here is some of the data I found:
2007 epa certification

EPA Database:
Document Index System

Annual Certification Test Results and Data (all autos):
2007 Certified Text

Side note, it was good to see the Alpina B7 finally coming to the US as a 2007 model.
A:
No info on CARB or FMVSS websites. Kind of funny though the NHTSA sells the crash test cars to the public with salvage titles.

Tomorrow I will search the Europes EC Directives and ECE Regulations, see if anything pops up. There should be some info on the 240R since it was a standard production model.

Here is a link to the CARB site it has info on aftermarket parts such as Brabus 6.1 and more, no lotus supercharger kit though.
A:
the 240r is an aftermarket modification (as is the cup 240) rather than a production line one. Also neither are road legal in the US so I don't imagine it would nave any EPA or Carb documentation.
A:
So now we know what the EPA charges Lotus for the certification. $34,724!!!
