Great Service! (MidRivers Lotus, St. Peters, MO)

A&Q about Lotus

Q:
I just want to personally thank Mike, Don and Matt over at MidRivers Lotus in St. Peters, Missouri for handling my one year service (at 9200 miles) appointment.

Liz had an oil change and a brake/clutch fluid flush. Complete head to toe checkup by Don. At the same time he popped on my front Porterfield R4s pads. There was only 20% of stock inside pad remaining - so why not!

The service cost about $205. I also purchased a spare oil filter. Final cost was $225.21.

A bunch of TSB's were applied at the same time (headlight enbellishers, airbag warning sheet, toe link check, sharp fasica edge tape application) as well as a couple of minor issues - A/C knob fell off, air bubbles on top dash surface - which as replaced! That took a bunch of time.

Finally, we're waiting to hear back from Lotus regarding my chunky shifting situation. My ECU printout noted maximum rpms of 9488, 8877, 8852, 8844 and 8836. I have 33 standing starts. There are people here on ET who have worse numbers/situations than this so I'm not that concerned about coverage. What really bums me out is that no initial 1000 mile printout was available last year (printer was broken).

Anyway we're waiting to hear what Lotus has to say about the tranny replacement - the 2nd gear synchro and overall shifting is very notchy. Over the course of the past year it has gotten progressively worse and I've been consciously slow shifting / babying it while driving it.

Anyway, thanks for a great day guys!

p.s. I'm totally in love with the 2006 ProBax seats. I had never had the opportunity to feel/sit in one. Soooo nice!

how many standing starts did surferjer have? 33 seems to be a lot. what rpm do you normally launch at? i've never tried it
A:
I'm not sure of what exactly defines a "standing start."

Perhaps a flag is turned on when (RPM > 3000*) AND (mph = 0)

If rpm/mph starts increasing rapidly then it logs it as a standing start.

I could see anywhere in lift (6200+) being considered a SS.
That's almost fair... although a definite penalty to drag racers, pro solo racers and intersection beaters everywhere.

*I certainly hope it's not 3000 rpm. That would be a travesty.
