A&Q about Lotus
Q:
Guys,
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement can of the tyre foam for S1Elise...?
Thanks,
Rich.
A:
Just about any auto parts store.
A:
Yeah, get a nice big can. The little one that comes with the Elise when you buy it doesn't work well.
And if you're going to keep it in your trunk, wrap it in foam and put it in a bag or duffel so it doesn't move back there.
Don't ever be without that can!
A:
I'm without a can. Instead I carry the tiniest compressor ever to grace the racks of a WalMart, and a plug kit.

...and how does that help with a puncture?
A:
Yeah, you need that goo in the can to seal the puncture or leak. Get the can.
A:
I think that's what his "plug kit" is for - plugging the puncture.
A:
You know, I had a "slow" leak from who knows where. A plug kit would have been no help. And, if you pull out a nail from the tire and don't succesfully plug it, you are riding to the tire store on a flatbed.
Leave the nail in, use the goo in a can, and drive to the tire store.
Just my suggestion based on experience with the wonderful world of the 048.
A:
Where exactly is the can BTW? My......g/f wants to know.

A:
Look in the trunk. Facing it, look to the right in the trunk and put your hand as far in and up as you can.
Some cars didn't come with them - its location is also described in the car manual.
