Got some new shoes for the exige

A&Q about Lotus

Q:
being winter is around the corner here in the northeast and my exige being driven to work everyday, decided to go w/ some new tires, the 235 rears actually gives it a wider stance then i thought, and the ride is much "softer" now. They are the pzero nero M+S 205/45 235/45, almost strange to see a nomal tread pattern on the lotus....

A:
congrats for using it w/o fear

I run these on my R32 and they handle/wear better than the Goodyear F1s they replaced.......how are they on the Elise compared to the Yokos?
A:
couldn't tell you yet, waiting to break them in
A:
Makes me realize I gotta do some work and spend some money.

Nice garage Immolas! Is the NOS for the wife's Murano?

I can tell that you are a serious car nut, thus the 12 bottles of griot's cleaners all perfectly aligned. I can also tell you probably don't have any young kids around!

It's pretty funny, I see your car for crashed, reborn, for sale, exhaust all different ways, diffuser cover on/off, I envy the time you have
A:
Tires are nice. Still drooling over your garage setup though.
A:
what happened to the eliminator kit?
A:
thanks for the comment on the garage, it was a 1 car garage i torn down to make it into a 2 car, due to a big ass tree in the way, i took the easy route of making the garager smaller....next time around i am going to rip the suckker out!

Correct on having no kids, but that won't stop me

Selling the elimator kit...
A:
BTW. You cost me some money by making me upgrade my garage.I was embarassed by mine. Where did you get the tiles on the floor? Do the tires leave marks on the tiles ?
A:
i was going to say you have these nice cars and this pretty garage but it looks a bit small in there. very neat and tidy though...how do you find anything?
A:
I would kill for a garage like that

Nice exhaust too.
A:
I love your illuminated collection of spray bottles!

speaking of normal tread on an elise... considering how much lighter it is than other cars, i wonder what it'd be like with dedicated winter tires... they're last longer since it's so light... probably quite a bit longer than the sport pack tires... that is exempting the fact that the winter tires would probably make it slide and drift like crazy... but it wouldn't snap, i would think it was just transition into slides. could be pretty fun actually, and then you'd be able to drive in anything.

A lot of windy roads around here will have wet spots under trees, and the highways will have deep puddles... two easy ways to kill yourself and winter tires wouldn't be nearly so fazed by it... and probably still cheaper too.

yeah, yeah... i know some of you think i should stick to my SUV, but i just hate the idea of inconsistent performance or unpredictability... that's the real devil. I've on wet roads like mentioned above, ended up in 4 wheel slides (does that count as drifting) in my g-wagen with the BFG A/T's and it's stable and predictable.

Hope you don't take the LIE.

Seeing that rim on top of the wall cabinet makes cringe. Boy, if it rolls and crashes on the Exige...
A:
Nice garage!
A:
strange ? strange indeed to hear someone's driving a Lotus in the winter. Could be treacherous no ?
