I saw two cops T-bone one another at 30MPH in Chicago in the middle of the night on a deserted intersection while responding to the same call... Go CPD!
She'll be good as new in a few weeks, slaughtr... I just picked mine up from the body shop last night. Good feeling.

They are going to take it off and see. Although it looks like there is damage to the side, That's just dust, the only crack is on top. We'll wait and see. Now I wonder if I can get a FF 275 install out of my wife over this?
If so, it would be worth it.

Since our house sits back about 1/4 mile from our rural road, I can't really make her park on the street. Good option as punishment, but not a long term option. Instead, as you can see in the picture, now she has to pull behind the truck then back into her space so she can see where the hell she is going when she leaves. My Elise was parked where the BMW is when she smacked me. My cars, of course, get to sleep downstairs in the garage, as it should be.
Can you believe she hit me with this much space?
A:
Er no.
That's pretty amazing, a precision strike. I would imagine the chance of missing are greater than hitting with all that space around !

Uh... if a particular spot, or range of angle, is blind to your view, then you DON'T BACK UP THERE! If you must back in a direction that is blind to you, either get out and check or find some other quick method of verifying the blind area to be free from obstruction before you begin backing up!
I'll bet my Exige has a worse blind spot than an FJ, but I havn't backed into anything yet.

It looks as if there is almost enough room to do a U-turn in that driveway. If that is the case maybe she should park the truck facing the proper direction before she turns it off. That way the next day when she leaves all she has to do is put it in "drive" and drive away, no backing up.

Her daily driver is the FJ and she now is required to do a U turn and back into her space...lets see how long it takes her to slam into the porch.
She only uses the truck for farm supplies and to pull her horse trailer (can you imagine the damage she could do), and that gets pulled directly through the gate in front of it.
Not to be completely sexist and racist, but she is an asian woman, so there is only so much we can expect with her driving.
A:
Geez, save yourself the next 1500$ and spend a couple hundred for some professional driving school or something
A:
I bet she's cute though ;-)

As a follow-up, when I told the repair shop I wanted the clam removed for additional inspection, they said they didn't want to do it. Talked to Steve Harris Imports service dept., showed them pictures and they said it needs a new clam. Long, story short...yada, yada, yada...it's going to Salt Lake by transport ASAP.
I'm still undecided about the mirror. Anyone think I should get a new OEM one? I'm looking at these instead.
A:
As expected, new clam, new mirror, new starshield, painting etc.
$6000...
and I'll be without my car for a month or so, meaning I'll get it back just in time for the first snow.

Beautiful place. Looks really nice up there.

If I were you, I'd get a turbo or supercharger kit while my car was recouperating and a BACKUP CAMERA for your wife's ride.
Beautiful place BTW, make sure and take a pic for us from the same angle in a couple of months...
