Yes, but it wasn't sold as the Kia Elan, but rather the aptly named Kia Sports Car.

They could make money selling a S/C kit for the Elise/Exige just sold, but they are too blind to make money easy...

not so simple...if we get a bunch of used exiges or elises on the market with added factory approved SC kits, they would be hurting the market for the exige S

The new Exige S will attract new buyers.
By now they left large amount of money in the hands of aftermarket makers...
