Well the fastest lotus usually means who is the best driver not who has the most power! And do you mean fastest on a 1/4 mile drag strip? Or fastest in auto x or track racing, or just punk street racing as in fast off the light? Lots of variables.

I believe the query was who had the "most power"...guess he's looking for turbo/SC fed Lotus' as the rest of us are pretty much equal in that dept.

I don't want to speak for Mikey but in the body of his thread he asks who has the most power so I assume he's talking hp and not speed. I agree that it would be more difficult to figure out who is "fastest".

If you're talking about hp, I'd have to say someone who has the ForcedFed 380 hp or maybe someone in England with the Bemani set up although, I don't know who's the one with these mods.

I am sure there is someone on ET with an Esprit V8 that has increased the boost and added a sport exhaust. No Elise or Exige would have that much power.

How much is that audi powerplant conversion making? Also a few years back at the LA Auto Show I saw an S1 Elise with a spoon engine in it. It was for sale at the time. I don't remember his power output, but he was claiming a ridiculous 0-60 of about 3 sec if my memory serves correctly.

Yeah, that was Joe McCarthy's car but, don't know how reliable the source was at the time.
Codymac is right, I think the Esthi might be the fastest/more hp than any other.

Per the current owner it runs at 428hp but can be reprogrammed to 600hp.

I went on a drive with 'nanozek' (who _might_?? be NanoteckDude on this site??) ... his modded Esprit dynoed near 500hp from what I remember.
As for speed ... he was certainly faster than me

If you want to think about really crazy, have a look at a Caterham CSR 260 Superlight (arguably still a "Lotus" in my book).

i have a s1 with honda vtec..sun car.. 12.8 in oklahoma speedway, but im from philly. they say it will go about 12.5 due to elevation. i did not run it at acto or engishtown yet. dyno at 174 at the wheels, wieght at 1600lbs. 60 ft time 1.8....around 30 mpg city, driving to oklahoma highway at avg at 80..about 35-38mpg. sweet.
