A&Q about Lotus
Q:
And now it is confirmed.
There will be a CO elise/exige in fast and the furious3: tokyo drift.
While sittng back patiently waiting the start of x-men 3, the trailer for F&F 3 comes on. About half way through the trailer I see it. The silver letter LOTU on a chrome orange background. Im goning to figure it is an elise because I did see a rear lip but it was only for like a sec or so. Hmm...im thinking the resale of these things might not be soo bad in the near future. May have to tap in an AR exige, or at least put on one "order".

It's official... we have our first F&F-inspired purchase of an Elise!
Just make sure not to granny-shift, instead of double-clutching like ya' should!

God help us all!

I don't know about that, I too saw the same car you saw but, it was not a Lotus. I'll try to check out the clip again but, I doubt it. Did you hear when they interviewed one of the actress, she said drifting was a science....my daughters almost walked out of the theatre because I was laughing so hard.
A:
Are you sure it wasnt the main chopped up orange/black rx-7? At least I think its an Rx-7... could be NSX too lol

I'm sure that's what he saw as that's the one I saw also.

Exactly. I went through the site as well, analized the trailer and checked the "cars of F&F". They are mostly RX7, and 350Z.

Well... I do have a modest collection of 1:18 GT-Rs and 1:43 JGTC GT-Rs. Saw my first one (an R33, fairly new at the time) on Mount Hakone and fell in love.
No idea how right you are.

I got a chance to talk one of the stunt drivers in the movie and I asked her if there was a Lotus in the movie, she said no...

That was the Veilside show car. It's an RX-7 with their Fortune bodykit. Only one they could find (IIRC), so they just took the actual show car and resprayed it orange and black (it was originally purple and black). I'm prolly wrong about it being the only one they could find, as I saw it's crash scene in the previews as well. . .
Oh, found the pic:

LOL! Note: Veilside RX-7 Fortune bodykit won Best in Show at the 2005 Tokyo Auto Salon
A:
one good thing about it is the non flip-up headlight change.
doesnt even look like a rx7, though.
A:
still looks like a dumb movie.
