You too huh? Man that picture is painful.
A:
saddest thing I've seen today.

The value of my Exige just went up a penny or so. I know, I'm an A$$.

that may have been the Elise from my neck of the woods (colorado) one just like that was totaled and I tried to buy the tires off of it (no go on that) It's tough to buy a car from a salvage yard. They want you to pay a nice fee just to bid (if you're not a dealer).
A:
yikes more like "Orange Crush" ..
A:
Interesting that it has the Blackwatch Racing rock guard. Guess it didn't help this time. If you look through all the pictures, you see that the hard-top seems to be the only intact peice of the fiberglass. Still might make a nice parts car for $5600.

My dad is a tv repairman, he's got an excellent set of tools. I can fix it!

A:
ohh that is sad.

Actually.. The images seem to show that it's structurally still quite OK. The fibreglass and bits around it have disintegrated..
All wishbones seem to be in the right place. Just at the back it's the bolts to the upright that have snapped, the rest look straight.
Might be a good candidate to get a 'spare' chassis from... Needs detailed inspection, but no obvious things from the photo's.
Always worries me when I see a fork-lift used on an Elise like this, but even that does not seem to have damaged it too much.
Bye, Arno.

The one I saw, that looked just like this, was given a quote of repairs that ended up with the insurance company totalling the car. There was about 35k in damages. It's amazing what all the little pieces added up to.
