A&Q about Lotus
Q:
I'm a moron and pulled up a little too close to a curb this weekend. I guess that the front clam flexed and a bit of the paint on the top of the front license plate area cracked off. The damaged area is about the size of a dime. Anyone on here know the best way to touch it up? My car is black and the plastic is white so its driving me crazy!!!
A:
Yeah...touch up paint from your Lotus dealer to start with.
A little clear coat over it later...
Then, more major bondo after that.....maybe at a body shop that caters to Lotus cars...
I'm sorry your car got hurt.
A:
Put a European plate on or paint shop!

I am in an exact situation like you - a small scratch on the driver's door. I will check out this place: and let you know if it is worth it.

I just did it at aerocolors. As soon as everything is dry I will take pictures and post it. So far it looks good but not stellar - pretty much what I expected for $80/touch up. But, still much better than $1500+ for the repaint plus hassle with the insurance company etc.

I bought the chrome orange touch up paint from the dealer. It was OK, but not worth $17 compared to the other options, especially since it wasn't a perfect color match.
