A&Q about Lotus
Q:
I painted my SSR's black. What do you think?
Here's how I did the paint job:

I like the contrast with the silver outer rim! And somehow it gives me the illusion that the wheels are larger too. Nice job.
A:
Nice!
Now paint the diffuser black!
A:
...Lookin' good! Now get some of those nice, black (& light) BMW wheel bolts.
A:
Great look !! The black wheels do alot for this car.
all the best, Don
A:
Wow, I like it ALOT. I noticed when washing my car today that the inside of the spokes on my fron LSS wheels is starting to stain a bit from the brake dust. Maybe I'll have to black out the spokes to clean it up.

First thing that popped into my head. Needs Stan/BMW bolts.
Rims look great.

I changed over to the Blackwatch studs and lugs, so I think I may be stuck with silver. The black wheels are just for track days and autocross. So my street wheels will be on the car for most of the time.

Looks fantastic!

There are black studs and nuts available for the car...BMW fitments pop right in and come in various lengths, steel or alloy nuts, 17 or 19 mm hex...get the 17s for most common Elise wheels for tool clearance.
A:
Love the wheels!

I say paint them completely (outer rim as well) and a more of a matte finish instead of gloss. Trust me!
