Also, ass goes in seat, hands on steering wheel and right foot firmly pressing down on accelerator pedal. Sunglasses and sunscreen (when needed) in centre console.

wallet removal is a must!

Garage door opener under the starter button (in the "coin pocket")
Wallet and sunglasses side by side in the "glove tray" (or whatever that's called) so they don't slide back and forth.
No cell phone. That way no one can call me.

I can't hear my phone ring even if I have it with me. Car's just too loud (not that I'm complaining).

.357 goes in shoulder holster?

Cell phone goes between steering column and AC controls. Wallet stays in pocket. Blue painters' tape, pyrometer and pressure guage go in dedicated baggy in trunk. Get out and open your own garage doors like a real man.

Wallet goes in front pocket where I normally keep my cell phone, so my big butt can sit int he seat comfortably (not always necessary depending on the pants I'm wearing).
I tried the cell phone in the cubby, and the first time I mashed the gas, the phone ended up under the seat. Tried it in the dash between the steering wheel and the AC controls - same thing happened.
Now, the cell phone remains in my front pocket, where I can't get to it while driving - which really doesn't make a difference because I refuse to answer or talk on the phone while driving anyway.
No sunglasses, but Lotus hat tucked between the passenger seat and console where I can get it and "install" it without looking.
Garage door opener is velcroed under the top of the cubby - hidden out of view.
Small notebook (orange of course) for recording fill-ups, etc., along with the pen clipped to it, sits in the "glove box" on passenger side. It sometimes slides from side to side, but hasn't fallen out.

I have my little routine, Cell phone goes in passenger seat, window side up so I can see it flash. In the mornings my Sector 111 darth holder cup holder holds my coke (yes coke in the morning it's a software development thing) in the space under the start button. My 2 garage clickers go in the passenger side space. On way home I stash the cup holder behind the seats and move the 2 clickrs over to the start button side. I am contemplating velcro-ing or attaching the clickers under the dash or someplace. Any Ideas?

That's why I clip mine to the seat belt, right under my chin.
Also, sunglasses on face, always...keeps dust and dirt and hair out of eyes (contacts).

wallet to the left in coin box. cell in small aluminum pocket to left cuz i don't want to hear it ring! Gdoor opener clipped to outside under A/C controls... cany bars and 20oz. bottle of pop in aluminum gutter to right of A/C. earplug case to left of A/C in gutter.
32 oz gatorade bottle to left of drivers seat (on 05 it fits perfect on top of the pump ball) hat goes in tray behind seat next to 8" subwoofer box.CD case (soft and hold 16 discs) between front left edge of passenger seat and console. wiping micro chenille rags go at the back between seats and center console(by seat belt clip)

WHAT?! WHERE'S WHAT?! CAN'T HEAR YOU! EXHAUST TOO LOUD!
Oh... cell phone in cubby under starter, garage door opener velcroed to right side of driver's seat (just under my right armpit, on back of seat), wallet to right of steering column. Water bottle in 'glovebox' and all else stowed in passenger seat.

Wallet in left cubby under start button. Garage door openerin cubby between start button and sterring wheel. Cell phone in cubby between steering wheel and AC controls. Large set of house keys etc., in the change holder thing between the seats.

Nice idea that way does not spoil interior spartan aluminum looks with ugly velcro strip and clicker

Everything goes in the trunk, cell phone, wallet and all. Clothes too. I drive naked. haha!

My black garage door opener is velcroed to the top of the cubby on the left side - recessed back. I can reach in and press the button with my finger, but you can't see it. It doesn't spoil the spartan aluminum since you can't see it...

That's a good idea Tim - I'm probably going to do this now. My garage opener sits clipped to the netting behind the driver seat. not only hard to push, but also could be stolen
A:
Cell phone under starter button. garage door opener to left of steering column, sunglasses to right of steering column. Registration and insurance in envelope in netting behind seats.
I think i'm gonna have to do the velcro opener thing. Although mine doesn't work while next to the steering wheel, i actually have to pick it up and hold it above the dash.
Cheers,
Skottoman

Careful, I think carrying two garage-anythingies in an Elise immediately voids your warrantee.
Cell phone fits perfectly in coin pocket on left. Wallet in coin pocket on right. Copenhagen to left of steering column. Raquetball (formerly air horn) to right, in case minivan begins to back up. Sunglasses case slides back and forth along glove tray, unless secured by today's mail.
Registration in clear plastic envelope in rope stowage between seats.
Driver in seat, two clicks forward, doors locked, lights on, radio set on same gawdamn CD that's been in the deck since I took delivery.

Garage door opener is velcroed out of sight up under the dash to the left of the steering wheel.
Cell phone goes in the glove-tray area which is lined with thin adhesive neoprene rubber.
Sunglasses on face or in lined tray alongside cell phone.
World's thinnest wallet () stays in back pocket or goes under start button if it might be needed during trip.
Microfiber towel folded up and placed in cubby to left of steering column, just in case.
Tire pressure guage goes in otherwise useless sno-cone holder.
Registration goes in manual above battery.
Wife goes in passenger seat.
Right foot goes to the floor
