Ok I'm only 15 and this is confusing me and i want to get it straight.

What is the difference between the regular lotus elise and the sport elise?

Welcome to the board. The Lotus Sport Elise is an Elise prepped by the Lotus Sport division of Lotus. It has quite a few go fast bits and is even more track oriented that the Lotus Elise.

Here's a short writeup that explains what the Sport Elise offers. In a nutshell it's a regular Elise with a lot of track upgrades (rollcage, suspension, clutch, etc) preinstalled. It still has the same engine and is still street legal, unlike for example the Exige Cup.

They should have called it the Track Elise or something.

Also not to be confused with the new European only Elise S, an entry level Elise, with I think a bit less hp and suspension goodies than a normal Elise.
