I likes the look of those pieces too so I e-mailed Ken. No reply after 5 days so I e-mailed him again. Today I get 9 replies all saying the same thing, $800 delivered for the access panels and vents - come on now I'm not stupid nor am I certain that I want to do business with them now.

Hold on! I tried to install my pieces & I'm having major fitment issues. The vents are too short & both Access Panels & Vents don't have the proper mounting tabs.
A:
Man that sucks, I really hope you get things straightened out. From the reply I got something didn't feel quite right to me.
A:
Do the access panels fit other than not having the right mounting tabs?
You can drill two holes at the flat ends of the access panels and use nuts, bolts and washers(titanium) to simulate the mounting studs as in the stock setup.

Is it possible that the components are for a different (non-ABS) model? These have slightly different access panels and I suspect vents??
Hope you get it sorted ASAP

Could it be that the parts are molded after the European S2 Elise and therefore don't fit the federal Elise?
A:
Yup. Photo's on the site show the front clam (and probably the related parts) to be for the non-ABS equipped cars where the access panels are angled more sharply downwards and use a different mounting construction.
Bye, Arno.

I'm not exactly sure if they're S2 molds or non-ABS molds- they don't fit w/ or w/o the proper mounting tabs. Have been in contact w/ Ken & I'm going to send a pair of vents & Access panels so he can make the proper molds for the ABS equipped Federal Elise.

BZRD69, the panels and grilles in the pic in your first post are definitely for a Rover engined/non-ABS car.
In a Toyota-engined car the grilles run under the central ridge on the clam. On Rover car that central ridge isn't cut out for the grilles. They butt up to it. The tab on the wide end of the grille locate into a hole at the base of that ridge.
The panels on a Rover car are flat, Toyota ones have a very distinct bend.
Attached pic shows a Rover car. Compare it directly to any Toyota car and the difference is immediately obvious. It took me over a year to notice the difference and I regularly see both types of cars in close proximity.

Yes, you are correct! Now that I see the pic, its easy to spot the differences.
Even the Access panels differ - the Federal has 1 screw vs. 3 on the Rover-based model similar to the Exige panels.
Cheers!

BZRD69 a question to you ,what do you intend to do with the Rover Carbon Revozport panels and grills. If you wish to sell them I would be interested .

where do you buy those pieces? thanks

From the pictures, they look like infused pieces of carbon. Coming from HK, I would imagine that they used one layer of 3k carbon fiber 2x2 twill and backed it up with cheap fiberglass, then painted the back of them with some flat black paint to obscure the obviousness of fiberglass. $540 for the pair is pretty cheap. I suspect the use of fiberglass.
I just went through a project like this building all 50 of the new Buell race bikes. Cheesy way to save money if you ask me. I see it in every single Asian 'tuner' piece of carbon fiber. Bling only!
As far as drilling holes in this stuff, don't be so scared, it drills a whole lot easier than you might anticipate. The tricky stuff is when you include Kevlar in the laminate. For bigger holes, use a hole saw or my tool of choice, something called a RotaBroach.
I'm in the middle of molding up the entire 2000 Exige.
That's right, the entire car.
If you folks have other thoughts on what you'd like molded up, please let me know. I'll post pictures of the carbon panels as they come out of the molds. We're leaving the entire car in a raw carbon fiber finish!
Engine mods to come in February...........
