I just came back from the Allen outlet mall Puma place. The only SpeedCats they have are gray/maroon. The only FutureCats they had were red/white/black/silver but didn't have my size.
On the way back, just seven minutes ago, a guy in a late model mustang started pulling the reving thing at a stop light. I figured what the hell and beat him by about one and a half car lengths in 100 yards.

Went out for a relaxed hill cruise this evening. Ended up with a tailgator about two inches back. 60mph around the turns and this family sedan with bald punks in it were riding the back of the car. Being that close is moronic.

oh man... good/bad idea! I am not young and stupid enough to do that now, but I would have for sure 10-15 years ago. lol

noticed a couple of posts of members being 'provoked'... seriously.. there are some crazy drivers out there... and they believe they are never at fault... and we just happen to meet them up on a bad day on the road... or they just want to race...
yesterday... mustang GT... highway... going about 80mph... i cruised passed it wanting to get in front so i can go over a lane to exit... then he speeds up and starts to pass me... so i'm like... freakin a... i knew it... so i just braked hard and went around him... i almost took the bait... but didn't think i would have a chance at that speed... and besides... my exit was 2 seconds away... and it's a long curving on/off ramp... i can't miss that =)

fixed
one of mine...
lose vs loose
but i keep it to myself... or i'd end up like tim
in my defense... broke doesn't sound as bad as saying loose when you mean lose... in conversation you can get away with it...

Last week I picked my car up, as in, I don't even have the car for five minutes. I hop on the freeway to take it home and this "Fast and Furious" kid pulls up to me in a Honda. We're talking techno music, black lights in the interior, the whole "get-up". He revs his engine trying to egg me on, which sounds like nails rattling in a coffee can mind you. I didn't even have my insurance cards yet so I had to just let it go.
I hope I see him again some day...

LOL! Poor Tim.... here's a freebie for him: I would like to buy a "touring" rim for a coffee table project. j/k!
Well saying "broke" when you meant "braked" when amongst car guys makes other car guys chortle. >=P

There's far too much thwacking going on around here!

One of my, uh... more colorful, friends used to have a bunch of pennies in his car that he would toss out the top of his sun roof if someone pissed him off. This was my same friend who saw a guy in a truck hit a friends car as they were leaving a parking lot, who then proceeded to park in another space. So my friend, with another guy, took off the rear wheels of the truck and rolled them down a hill, leaving it on the axle. There are some crazy people out there...
A:
Hey Tim... here are some touring wheels:
You should make your signiture Lotus specific.

the ones that really piss me off are the BOZOS in the big truck(ok thats any truck)
riding up on my rear end at stop lights. like inches from me. why do they do this, what is the purpose. to scare cuzz "dude thats funny i could drive right over that thing"....dick weeds. I too have a full sized truck but i don't try to intimidate with it...guess it must be that big truck little pen...thingy...ahh isn't it cute.

Question for the old timers here (I mean those that got there Elise back in 2004).
From the posts I'm reading, it seems like there's more hostility towards Elise now-a-days than back in 2004/2005. I don't mean the tailgater or lookiloos but I mean person with real hostility. Am I wrong?

Not that I've noticed. Same level of tailgaters, Mustangs trying to race, kids in riced out Hondas, etc. Maybe not quite as many stares, or maybe I'm just getting used to it...
I haven't really had any road rage incidents, except one when the guy was tailgating me, crossed over into the HOV lane (cutting someone off), cut it front of me (in 70 MPH traffic) and slammed on his brakes to a complete stop on a heavy traffic freeway. But that was months ago. I've had similar (not quite as bad) things happen to me in my Miata, so I don't think it's Lotus specific - maybe just sports cars...
