A&Q about Lotus
Q:
Actually, the blue one showed up before yours, so they PDI'ed that car first...
Hope things work out for you.

I got pics...didn't catch the damage specifically - heard about it, but didn't notice it... if you want, I'll post them.

Picked mine up today. After Abe called, I just couldn't put it off. The drive back was wonderful, up the coast to Camarillo. This is a different car, I thought "meh" 30HP big deal. It's a big deal!
My 19 yr old son summed it up well, he says "the S is more fun on the street because you have crazy power all the time, no waiting, power of the Elise was great but was hard to run around the street on that cam" He just got out of his 400HP GTO last month.
Abe gave me a very fair price for my S6 trade, the paperwork could not have been smoother. The entire staff at South Bay made it a great experience for us both. And a free hat!

Hey, don't feel so bad! I put my $ down 36 months before my '05 elise arrived. I also was really miffed at the first person to get one - he'd only commited about half as much time waiting as I did. Of course it didn't help that the dealer bumped my from #14 (there wasn't a 13) to #21 which added several months to my wait. Fortunately, I didn't have to pay the higher msrp!
At least you have two loti to play with...

You might want to try and find out any shipping info you can, ship name, tracking ID, container id, train car.... Whatever you can. Then get on "teh internets". I custom ordered a 2000 Dakota RT and my salesperson managed to find out the train it was supposed to be on from Michigan. I found the train company online and ended up being able to track the actual train my truck was on. It even showed me the speed of the train! I tracked it all across the country for about a week and a half. Then saw that it was in my town, called the dealer and told him he should have the car that day, and he did!

Congrats Brian! Now put some miles on that beauty so you'll be able to make the 17th!
Like I've been saying the last month or so -- it's not the HP, it's the torque band of the "S" which makes all the difference. Also, you are on the second cam at 4200 RPM's -- you can short shift with very little penalty in performance. This makes the car much more drivable on the street.
