I wouldn't think engine placement would be a factor. I had it happen to me in a Lincoln Mark VIII (front engine, RWD) when going through a construction zone. I hit the brakes just before a transition between regular pavement and a ground down section (1/4" or so drop off) and they just went away. After letting off and reapplying they started stopping the car again, but that was a scary second or so as the now red light was rapidly approaching.

He's saying that the wings that are on the outsides of the axles (balancing each other out) are basically the same as the one on the Elise between the axles (apparently providing downforce where the want it approx. above the engine). So it's not going to completely unbalance the car.

He was a fantastic host for Dinner Tuesday, helped out a ton using his house as a tire depot, delivery service, and generally being a super nice guy! Lastly, he stepped into Randy's car as a tire warmer without having driven it, only done a couple auto-xes in the past, and did really well considering!

I was just saying that the single wing may not have been the way to go...
I would not exactly describe myself as an AX'er, I enjoy doing the Club111 events but the "real" ones seem a bit boring.

I am with you on that patricko, I just cant seem to find much excitement when looking at AX. a big track and high speeds are much more appealing to me. sorry if i whaled on you. If we were in a room all together having this discussion, i would have been flinging my beer bottle caps at you. its all in good fun. Now i am sure to get flamed by the AXers here, but thats all in good fun too.
