A&Q about Lotus
Q:
Any thoughts on cool places to drive and hang out here in Vegas?
A:
I'm not sure this is what you had in mind, since you have all kinds of great roads to drive in Colorado, however, I rented a Ferrari in Las Vegas last year and asked where I could find some fun twisty roads. Red Rock Canyon and route 160 heading west were recommended to us and we had a great time. But, I'm from Illinois where virtually all roads are flat.

Places to hang out - the piano bar at New York, New York is always happening. Best be there early in the evening if you want a seat.

Yep, rode RR canyon but it is limited by the speed through the park. Very scenic. Almost made it up to Mt. Charleston's top the other day. Man, the road coming in from the north side of 95 is a long, straight climb uphill and at "speed" you can feel your ears pop. What speed you ask? Well, I drive an Exige and the wing is designed to create some downforce at 100+. Not to say that that was my speed-ish.

I wish I could find a place to park and watch people check out the car. Dang, in Denver the patio bars are all over downtown. In Vegas most parking is off the main drag. But sometimes I get away with parking right in front of the casinos' front doors.

I saw a yellow elise with aftermarket wheels on the strip in front of MGM/NY NY last Friday.

I'll keep my eye out. Are you in Vegas or were you just here last weekend?
A:
I was there last week. I only saw that one elise, nothing else. In SoCal I saw at least a dozen Elises, was quite refreshing.

If you head out to Lake Mead there is a nice road going out to the Marina, Valley of Fire is also a nice drive.
We go up to a place on the west side called Kona Grill, there is Valet Parking right up front.
Are you in town for the weekend?

Here's the Las Vegas thread - I looked all over for it. Great stuff from Randy here:

Yes. And then some. Helping out my folks down in Henderson. I'll buy the first beer if you want to meet up. -pilot
