A&Q about Lotus
Q:
Lotus create their first non-automotive product. . .
The Type 1 Lotus Watch
I think the funny part is where they talk about this watch expressing the Lotus design philosophy. Sorry, nope. . . This watch expresses what is currently fashionable in watches.
My idea of a real Lotus watch would look like an old cheap Timex. . .
No calender, no stopwatch dials or other needless frills, simple and lightweight. . . yet grossly overpriced, and emitting a subtle odor of burning electrical insulation.

Repost.... BTW, my Type 1 arrived at the PO today. I'm gonna head down there in a few minutes and pick it up.

Pretty neat looking - only comes in chrome orange?!?! Wish you could order them in the 20 colors to match your car!
A:
So how much is it?
A:
£148.94
A:
Mine was like 150 GBP shipped. I think the charge came to 280 USD or so. Picked it up a couple hours ago... looks great! Very sporty!
A:
Mine just ran out of battery life a couple weeks ago. I've had it for about 3-4 months now.
A:
I can't wear most watches, I tend to stop them quickly.

sounds like you need to connect it to a trickle charger.
A:
Someone told me it was self-winding. But I'll try your trickle charging though.

Transio / PH -- Any chance you can post pics? Catalog pictures are nice but I prefer 'real world' pics to get a true feel for the watch. Thx!

Are you going to sell it, buy a Timex, and put a deposit on the next version of the watch?
A:
Got mine as a gift back in March - love it!!

Would have been a funny joke if you added a or a or a but the makes me think it's an actual stab at me. My answer, then, is WTF is it to you what I choose to do with my wristwatches or cars? They're mine.

Rosendahl Watch II
It pretty much just tells the time. You can push a button for the date. It doesn't have an adjustable strap; you actually have to cut it down to size. After two months of daily use the face and strap show scuff marks and the metal looks like it's been attacked with sandpaper. $185

Get a Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon, or a Casio G Shock, depending on your budget. You won't stop either of those. I've dropped my Ball Engineer Hydricarbon onto concrete and it didn't miss a beat. Bonus features are that it is self winding, and has Tritium capsules for full night visibility.
